The Annual Oak Island Art Guild Arts & Crafts Festival will feature more than 100 artists and craft vendors who will show and sell their handmade wares. Fine art, pottery, stained glass, needlecraft, Christmas ornaments, woodcarvings, basket weaving, photography, books, posters, jewelry, toys, lawn/garden items and more will be for sale. Food vendors will be offering a variety of sandwiches, soft drinks, ices and delectables.
A boutique art show and sale featuring a group of talented local artists and crafts people in a variety of mediums on a lovely wooded property in the country.
This show coincides with the first Saturday of the Orange County Open Studio Tour, so drop by if you’re planning to be out touring. Just follow the yellow signs!
We are on the “fringe” of the tour geographically (10 minutes Northwest of Downtown Hillsborough) and artistically- featuring art with an emphasis on self-taught, folk art, and the use of salvaged/ reclaimed materials.
(Some might say that some of the personalities involved are “fringey” too!

These gorgeous photographs are the amazing art of our friend Anna White who came into our home a few weeks ago to take pictures of us (Mushpa y Mensa)and our cat Jefe. She is working on a photo collection of couples and individuals in their NYC homes. Anna wanted us to convey an American Gothic style, hence our stoic demeanor.
It was mad fun and the pictures turned out fabulous!
