Poplar Grove Food Truck Round Up
Join us on the front lawn for a Food Truck Round Up on Saturday, July 20, from 3 – 8 pm. This late afternoon event will also have a Beer & Wine Garden, and Folkstone Stringband will be playing on the front porch of the Manor House with a few sporting lawn games, so there’s plenty to do for the young and young-at-heart.Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted.
Below is the list of 2019 Food & Concession Trucks who are participating. A select group of heritage arts vendors will be gracing the front lawn carriage pathway. All funds generated support the feed and medical costs of our beloved equines.
Romp Fest 2019
Hosted by the Bluegrass Music Museum & Hall of Fame
Celebrating its 16th year, ROMP Festival will return to Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park. Headlining the initial lineup release are Hall of Fame members Ricky Skaggs and Del McCoury. Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder will feature special guest Patty Loveless. Also appearing are bluegrass/folk-rock favorites Trampled by Turtles and Americana music icon, Steve Earle & The Dukes. Rounding out the initial release are Rhonda Vincent and The Rage, The Wood Brothers, Billy Strings, the Jeff Austin Band along with The Travelin’ McCourys performing The Grateful Ball, and Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers. More artists to be announced soon.
Daviess County’s Yellow Creek Park, a 150-acre facility famous for its nature trails, winding creek and fishing lake, and sweeping tree-lines, plays host to ROMP each year.
A full line-up of artist-led instrument workshops takes place throughout the day, as ROMP artists interact with fans and players of all ages and skill levels. Other workshops and forums include songwriting, clogging and flat-foot dancing, yoga (all levels), and bluegrass jamming 101.
Additional offerings at ROMP Festival include organic and farm-to-table food vendors, craft vendors featuring Kentucky Proud products, art installations and professionally-led children’s activities.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their instruments and jam throughout the weekend, as well as dance the night away at the late night stage, featuring nationally acclaimed acts in the park’s rustic Pioneer Village.
About the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum:
The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is a 501c3 non-profit located in Owensboro, Kentucky focused on gathering, preserving, exhibiting and disseminating the artifacts, history, collection and performance art of the global history of bluegrass music through an educational experience.

The AthFest Music & Arts Festival brings the best local and regional musicians and visual artists together in Downtown Athens, Ga. By incorporating multiple events and venues throughout downtown, AthFest is able to reach a broad range of audiences and attracts an eclectic mix of lifestyle interests.
The festival showcases the best talent in our area, and generates huge awareness for the nonprofit, AthFest Educates, and its mission to provide much needed funding to support music and arts education for youth.
Where Mushpa + Mensa Will Be
Mushpa + Mensa will be at the Artist Market. The open-air Artist Market is an integral part of the AthFest Music & Arts Festival. Booths feature fine arts and crafts for sale. Exhibited work may include visual arts (painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and digital art), fabric, clothing and accessories, jewelry, and handcrafted items (sculpture, ceramics, glass, woodworking and furniture).

The AthFest Music & Arts Festival will include an artist market on Washington Street between Hull and Lumpkin streets. Over 50 vendors will set up shop with both fine arts and crafts for sale. A local panel judges all of the AthFest Artist Market booths and AthFest proudly awards $600 in prizes to the selected artists. The artist market will be open on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5–10 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 12–10 p.m. and Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 12:30–8 p.m.

Encore’s Bestival
BESTIVAL, an all-day street festival taking place at Waterline Brewery on Saturday, May 11 and Mushpa + Mensa will be there!
Every year for over 30 years, encore’s annual readers choice awards, the official and longest-running Best Of Wilmington, has been an ongoing celebration of local culture, including recognition of businesses, eateries, bars, goods, services, people, media, arts, and entertainment. In 2019 we will be turning our annual celebration of winners into an all-day arts and craft, food truck and beer festival at Waterline Brewing, underneath the Cape Fear Bridge, along Surry Street.
And it’s all to benefit DREAMS Center for Arts Education! Here’s the low-down….
FESTIVAL ADMISSION:
Free to attend, though we welcome a suggested $5 donation. Folks who donate ahead of time via below link will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 #encoreDEALS credit!
FOOD TRUCKS
On the docket: CheeseSmith Food Truck, Bill’s Food Brew, T’Geaux Boys and Donut Bus will accept cash (and credit) for purchases.
BEER
More than a dozen local and regional breweries will offer 3-ounce tastes of their brews in the beer tasting area outside. Each taste is $2. In advance; we are offering 5-packs for $10 and 10-packs, which comes with an official Bestival t-shirt, $25
MUSIC
Travis Shallow and Bob Russell, Randy McQuay II, Striking Copper, Rebekah Todd Music, and David Dixon will play throughout the day on one of two stages near the beer garden.
COMEDY
Laughter galore will come from our hosts, Pineapple-Shaped Lamps, on the main stage outdoors, and The Cape Fear Comedy Festival comedians will take the stage inside the brewery throughout the day!
ARTS FEST
Local arts and crafts vendors will be lined up along Surry Street, selling their fun, handmade wares. So come prepared to buy awesome goods.
AWARDS:
Winners will go to awards booth to find out if they won and then mosey to the step and repeat to have their picture taken. (But anyone can step in and flash a smile or two!) All pictures will appear in encore through June in our Best Of coverage!
LIVE & LOCAL SPRING FEST 2019!
Live & Local Spring Fest is produced by Artsplosure in partnership with Live It Up! Hillsborough Street. This spring celebration is your chance to join your community in celebrating the unique art, music, food and beer of North Carolina. Come out to Hillsborough Street on April 14th for an afternoon of performances on the Main Stage, a Kid’s Zone with performances and craft activities for the youngest members of our community, as well as a food truck rodeo and craft beers from our friends at Raleigh Brewing.
