Carolina Strawberry Festival

Wallace Strawberry Festival

In 2011, the Town of Wallace, lead by a core group of leaders, brought the “Strawberry Festival” back to Wallace after 50 years. Each year, the Carolina Strawberry Festival has grown bigger and better. Even better now that we’ll be there! ;] Here is the festival map.

The 2018 Strawberry Festival will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM.

We will see you there surround by delicious strawberries. :]

Old River Farms Annual Spring Festival

slide1

Join Mushpa + Mensa for the 6th Annual Spring Festival! Saturday April 21st!

Join us for our 5th Annual Spring Festival at Old River Farms Saturday April 21st 2018 9:00-4:00! Our focus is to promote our talented local craftspeople and artisans. We will have over 40 local vendors selling handmade/homemade and re-purposed items. Wood working, metal working, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, baked goods, healthy snacks, jams/canned goods, all natural soaps, candles and much, much more. Awesome live music all day under our big barn and plenty of delicious local food to fill your belly. Bouncy houses and games for kids at no extra charge!

We are a small family owned and operated farm. We take great pride in hosting these events and providing a fun atmosphere for our community to enjoy. With that said, we cannot do it all on our own. There is a small parking fee of $5 per car to help us pay for this event. You are welcome to bring as many people as you would like(safely!) in your carload.

Poplar Grove Fabulous Farmer’s Market

Farmers' MarketMushpa + Mensa is super excited to be back at Poplar Grove. One of our all time favorite gigs! Come see us and all the other amazing vendors at an awesome place. We will be facing painting as well, which not to brag we are pretty fantastical at. :] Food trucks, music, fun!

The Farmers’ Market at Poplar Grove was established to provide a retail outlet for local growers and producers to sell their goods directly to consumers. The market strives to promote local farmers & the use of local products, educate consumers on conservation practices, and provide the local community an opportunity to get to know their farmer, their baker, their artisan maker!

One of the special qualities of a Farmers’ Market is the interaction with the farmers growing and producing fresh produce, landscaping & bedding plants, or meeting herbalists growing herbs and mixing scented salves and oils, bakers creating homemade cookies and desserts, and artisans making handmade soaps, cutting boards, jewelry, and accessories for home, hearth and garden.

Within the Gullah Geechee Corridor, the grounds and outbuildings of Poplar Grove are open and free to the public on market day. Located on Highway 17 and easily accessible from the I-140 Bypass, there is plenty of free parking, picnic tables, and a playground.  Visit The Stables, Basket Gallery, Gift Shop, and exhibits with information on blacksmithing, peanuts, weaving and slavery.  Adjacent, and operated independently from Poplar Grove, is the Abbey Nature Preserve, with trails open and free to the public year-round.
